(CATCH 2021), - The First Fathom - An art exhibition with a difference The artworks selected for this unique outdoor show will reflect concerns about the sea and the coastal environment. The pieces will be robust, waterproof, weather resistant and environmentally friendly, they will occupy the littoral space between the tides at our preselected locations. The exhibition will be on public display for four days at three coastal sites in Kilmore Quay, County Wexford. This exhibition is an artist led initiative and is supported by Wexford County Council Arts Office Small Arts Festival and Experimental Events Scheme 2021 The artworks were selected from a recent open call, our selection panel consisted of Wexford based visual artists Andi McGarry and Lar O’Toole. This team also produced previous iterations of the CATCH Art Exhibitions in 2017 and 2019, also held in Kilmore Quay. Images of the installed artworks will be shared via a dedicated online resource. All of our selected artists will be paid a fee of €35 to cover some expenses. The works are for sale and no commission will be charged.

The exhibition will take place from the 28th to the 31st of August. The artwork will be shown between the high tides at the locations listed below
